John married Almena Elliott on 2 April 1840 in Morgan Co, Ky. He may have been married briefly before Almena. Possibly losing wife in childbirth with Huldah b. 1839 also in Morgan Co, Ky. (one could understand his need to remarry very soon) His marriage to Almena is recorded in the Morgan Co marriage book. But on the first census I found John - 1840 Morgan Co Ky, it listed him - head of household, wife (Almena) and daughter(Huldah). This makes me think he had been married before. I have a lot of data on an earlier part of my Johnson line mostly from Va and N.C. If I could locate John's parents, I might be able to link both Johnson sections together. I know that some of the earlier Johnsons moved to Pike Co,Ky and that is only two counties away from Morgan Co. I have a lot of data on both Johnson groups - just need help putting it all together.
