CORRECTION:William James Snodgrass father Major John Snodgrass, his parents Neil Snodgrass and Janet MacNeal of Cunninghamehead.
Kenneth Snodgrass was the son of a Presbyterian Minister, John Snodgrass of Paisley, Scotland and Janet Douglas. At this stage I haven't made any connection between the two families although they both turned up in Australia

Neil was born in New Zealand or Scotland c1851.There are claims that Neil's father William James Snodgrass was the son of Lieut Col Kenneth Snodgrass. I believe that William was the son of Neil Snodgrass and Janet MacNeil of Cunninghamehead Scotland. His parents were John Snodgrass and Ann Nisbit. His parents were Neil Snodgrass and Jean Buchanan. The Buchanan name has been passed down throughout the family and appears in NSW Australia.
