Joan Thompson was my grandmother's cousin . Joan's maiden name was Griffiths & her mothers name was Annie May Greenslade (always called 'May' though!) I am doing the family history of the Greenslade family which she is part of. In one of her letter's to my grandmother Gwyneth Lees (nee Alchin) Joan mentions her 3 children, Ceri-Ann, Melinda, & Kimberly. This letter was dated 1985 so that was more than 20yrs ago! Any help in finding the family would be great, thanks!

allycat on 2009-02-24 18:20:05Although THOMPSON is a fairly common name, there is a Joan and Allan THOMPSON buried at Fawkner Memorial Park, Victoria. Click on Deceased Search, Standard Search.
Other than that goto RootsChat register as a new user, then find their Australia board to post a lookup request. Lots of chatters have the Victorian BDMs on cd-rom.

CeriAnn on 2020-02-27 07:27:11Hi I am Allan and Joan Thompson's daughter Ceri-Ann. My parents Allan and Joan are not the couple buried at Fawkner Memorial Park. We still have Allan and Joans ashes. I am coming to Wales in May 2020 and are wishing to spread her ashes. If anyone knows of family still in Wales I would like to contact them. Joan's mother was Annie May Griffiths (nee Greenslade) and her husband David Griffiths.
