Peter Brennen was born in Ireland about 1814 he married Ann rutledge from Ille de Montreal , Quebec. They lived in Hemmingford , Quebec.Their son Michael was born in hemmingford in 1832 .I believe he worked for the railroad as it was being built as it headed west toward Hamilton ,Ontario.When the railroad linked together in Hamilton,Michael was in his 20's . He met a girl named Sarah Scott and they married in 1854.Michael became very successful in the lumber business , aquiring many sawmills and lumbermills.His business was named M. Brennen and sons ltd.Michael and Sarah had many children but my descendant was their son Edward Lee Scott Brennen , his son Hugh Smith Brennen was my Great grandfather . His son Hugh George Brennen was my Grand father . His son Hugh Walter Brennen is my father and my name of course is Hugh Gregory Brennen and my son is Hugh Gordon Brennen.
