I'm researching several names, but on my maternal side,my mothers maiden name was Brussel. My grandparents were Charles Nicholas Brussel and Martha Emily (Brandow) Brussel. There are several variations of the spelling, and I reached a dead end with my great grandparents. Carl, or Charles and Rosa Marina (Zickman)Brussel. Of course memories of the family differ, and most paperwork has been lost or destroyed. I know they resided in Minnesota, Iowa, and Illinois. Have some documentation from those places through the census, but am avidly looking and poring over multiple areas of search.

Grandma and grandpa did settle in East Tawas, and finished raising the kids here, I live on the old family homestead. Their previous history is what I'm looking for.
