Aged Man Dies Sunday

Joel (Joe) Caddell died at his home in Holly Hill, Ky., Sunday June 15, 1947 at the age of 85.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Caddell; four sons, Don of Covington, A. J. of Brooklyn, N. Y., William of Williamsburg and Poynter of Cincinnati; six daughters, Mrs. Tom Shelley of Alva, Ky., Mrs. J. P. Mayfiled of Savoy, Mrs. Herbert Campbell of Pineville; Mrs. Nellie Adkins, Mrs. Tillman Toney and Mrs. Frank Morgan of Williamsburg; one sister, Mrs. John Gilreath of Holly Hill.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 17, at 10:30 A. M. at the old Jellico Creek Church with Rev. Andy Davis and Rev. Charlie Steeley officiating. Interment will be in the Caddell Cemetery by the Ellison & Ellison Funeral Home.

Yes it is . What that dont show is .Roxie Caddell (Holt) my great grandmother died before her dad Joel listed here. Poyter was married to Zori Morgan my grand father sister on the Morgan side also Frank Morgan was my grandfathers brother on the Morgan side .So to try to help you understand .a brother and sister Morgan married a brother sister Caddell . then a sister Roxie Caddell married Ed Holt then it was their daughter Mary Lucille Holt that married Frank and Zori Morgan brother Charles Ad Morgan .my grand parents Mary and Charlie Morgan

Hi there cous, I've been doing a little family research myself. And i know a litte. I would like to find more out about Roxie and the Caddell/Holt family.

what would you like to know Roxie was married to Ed holt they had a couple kids First Ed holt jr died the same day he was born son billy died jumping trains(hoboing) with his dad ED. Frank served in the service .Frank is buried at Jellico creek cemetary to the left of him is Roxie in a unmarked grave to left of Roxie is Phillip Morgan Roxies grand son .Mary Lucille was the second oldest and my grand mother when Roxie died she was about nine years old .at that point Ada Caddell and Thomas Shelly took care of my grandmother some people show they adopted a daughter name Mary or Lucille but no adoption took place Ada an Thomas just raised my grandmother . Ed holt was married to Roxie at the point of Roxies death although he served in the service it was at the end of the war so he didnt really serve no time he showed up and the war ended then they sent everyone home .Ed holt is buried at a cemetary outside Keavy with his dad and a couple brothers .Mrs.Morgan in the above post is Ada an Roxie sister her two daughters are still alive and, well in the nineties .although very sharped minded and helped me with alot of my research .Mary Elizibeth married Charlie Ad
Morgan they had six kids before their divorce . Mary was remarried several times but never had kids by anyone else. Charlie was remarried and had six more kids before he died.for more detailed info email me at allboutds@yahoo.com

I am a grand daughter of Mary Lucille and Charlie Morgan. I am their son, Bob's youngest daughter. I have a little info to help out with, but I just started this so if you have info please email me at lpenrod@cinci.rr.com. I am looking for more information dating back from both sides, Charlie and Mary. Don't know much about my family and I would really like to know more. Thanks!
