Looking for my Grandma's family - Lester from Kent, England

I'm very new to this but have always wondered about my Grandma's family on my father's side. Her name was Mabel Lester. She died before I was born. I've seen only three photographs of her. She married my Granddad in Leeds, Yorkshire I believe. His name was Charles Slater. Date? Possibly around 1925.
Any rumblings? I'd love to know more about her.

It's six years since you posted this, and I don't know if you still subscribe to this site. However, I have been looking up my maternal great aunt, Mabel Lester and have come across your post of 2009.
My grandfather was Frederick Lester. He had a sister called Mabel who married Charles Slater and they lived in Leeds. Their son, Jack, joined the West Yorkshire Police Force, I believe. He is my mother's first cousin. She has never met him.
Mabel and Charles also had a daughter, Doreen, who nursed Mabel until she died from cancer. I think she lost her husband as well, and then she committed suicide - a tragic story.
I can tell you a lot more about our family, if you think this is the right Mabel. I think it must be. Please message back if you get this.
