James Johnson was born either in Leeds or Lewes in around 1880 plus or minus 5 years. His wife was Elizabeth, they may have been married in South Africa, and they had 2 daughters (maybe more siblings). One daughter was Doreen, born about 1906 and the other daughter was adopted, her name was Kathleen Ann, born in 1916, her blood mother was Lucinda Wade, father unknown. James may have died at the end of the first world war (about 1918?).
