Searching for Information on Elizabeth Flynn nee Cotter.

Journal by bushpig

Elizabeth Cotter married Thomas Flynn 15 April 1873, in St. Augustines Church, Yass NSW.

She died 17 August 1934, Bogan Gate NSW. Thomas and Elizabeth are both buried in the Bogan Gate cemetery.

Does anybody know who her parents were and where she was born. The information I have indicates that she was born about 1855 and her father was named Edward. I have been unable to confirm this.

Thanks

Hello, my information on Elizabeth Cotter is: born 1.8.1885 at Caragabal, NSW to Michael Cotter/Catherine Dodd. Catherine's parentage: Patrick Dodd/Ann Connolly. Patrick's parentage: John Dodd/Mary. If you would like to contact me on my private email (pakline.payne@bigpond.com) I would be happy to share what info I have. Thomas Flynn's parents - Thomas Flinn/Julia Walsh (aka Judith Whaling) are my Great-great grandparents. My line is via their son, Richard. Regards, Kerry Payne

I have Elizabeth's birth recorded at Taylors Creek, Fish River NSW. I don't know where Taylors Creek is, but Fish River is now called Callaba Creek. It runs from Taylors Flat near Narrawa to the Lachlan River. Michael (Elizabeth's father) was working as a shepherd there for a Mrs. Gibson, who was probably related to Dr. Andrew Gibson from "Tirrana" near Goulburn who Michael was previously employed by. Thomas and Elizabeth had twelve children.
