My Grandfather was William Joseph Tuckwell b.1896 Parramatta NSW Australia, married to Florence Burke nee Bell. Had 3 children: William George 1923, Sheila Patricia 1924 (my mother)& Aileen Mary.
Descendants of Richard Tuckwell b.1759 Eastleigh. Turville, Gloucestershire, England. Richard arrived Australia on the 'Pitt" 1792. Richard is my x4 great grandfather. I know my x7 great grandfather was Francis Tuckwell b.1660.
Looking for relatives.

arisaac on 2010-06-04 05:21:07I am trying to find the ancestors of two brothers Richard and Thomas Tuckwell,who came to New Zealand in 1855. Thomas was married to an Adelaide Sarah.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I have Tuckwell in Australa.
My GGGG Grandfather is Richard Tuckwell son of William Tuckwell & Mary Yarnton.
Richard was born in Eastleigh/EastLeath?, Turville, Gloucestershire, Englan on 25/06/1759. He arrived on the "Pitt" in 1792. His 1st wife (married 1792) was Elizabeth Buckner nee Budden also from Turville. They had 7 children: Richard b.1793, William 1795, Sarah 1798, John 1799, Elizabeth 1801, George 1803 & Francis 1805.Richard's 2nd wife (married 1808)was Elizabeth Sidebottom, they had no children.
My GGG Grandfather is George b.1803.
My GG Grandfather is Samuel b.1829
My G Grandfather is Samuel b. 1851
My Grandfather is William Joseph b.1896
My mother is Sheila b. 1925 (married my father William Patrick Keegan)
