Hi there,
I have just joined this genealogy site and see that you are researching the surname Yearbury. What is your connection as the Yearbury buried at Tirau was my stepfather. I do not have a lot of information about this family as I am doing research on many other family connections but willing to share what I have.
Cheers, greenkiwi

Robert and Emma Yearbury lived at Hoteo North in the lower area of Northland NZ. It was here abouts that their four children were born.
Later Harold farmed at Te Hoe in the Waikato and it was here that he married Frances Valma Speak nee Hyde. They had two children: Leslie Eileen Yearbury (1953-1976) and John Winston Yearbury (1955). Harold and Frances retired to Katikati but lived at various small towns around the middle of the North Island which is why Harold is buried at Tirau because they were living there at the time of his death.
His younger brother Capt Robert Yearbury WW1 was badly "shell shocked" in that war and susequently died from his illness upon returning to NZ. The elder brother Andrew also died without issue. Harold's sister Susie married Eric Hanham and they had three children I believe, one of whom was a missionary. Susie and Eric and their family were involved with the Church of Christ in Auckland.

Emma Susan was my Grandmother and Eric Hanham my Grandad they had 4 children Ray, Daphne my Mum, Valerie was a Missionary and Colin as far as I know still alive except my Mum.

Does anyone have more of the Yearbury family tree.

Eric and Susan were my grandparents. Valerie, my mum, married Alan Sinclair and served as missionaries in Papua New Guinea for over 20 years and continue part time into their 70's. Dad has passed on, Mum in her 80's now still visits and planning another visit next year. I am looking for a Yearbury/Hanham connection to W.F.Lincoln who died of wounds on Vella Lavella (Solomon Islands) 2nd World War.
