All I know is my grandfather's name was Harold Jack Knotts. He married Margaret Rena Jacobs and was living in Springfield, OH. He was related to Don Knotts (cousins). I don't have any record of his parents.

I am searching Jacobs, Knotts, Guillam, Messerschmitt, Chiles, Trogets,Workman. Have found Jacobs line back to Samuel Jacobs of Ky, b. 1797. Trying to find his parents names. Believe his parents came from Pennsylvania coming down the Ohio River on a raft in 1700's to KY. Also his father may have fought in the Revolutionary War according to War pension records.
