Looking for George John Campbell Morris of Australia
I am trying to find information on George John Campbell Morris born 1902 Sydney Australia. He is my husband's grandfather. I would like to know his date of death as I am assuming he is deceased. His family originated in Scotland and some ended up in Australia and some in New Zealand. His parents are James William (Jim) Morris born in New Zealand and Elsie May Morris nee Shying born in Australia. George had 2 brothers that I know of, James William & Ronald Arthur Edward. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Julie

Hello Juliemorris.
Had a look in the New South Wales indexes and found the marriage of George, and the birth of his brother James.
George J C MORRIS married Eileen DILLON in the Newtown district of New South Wales in 1921.
Source: NSW Marriage Index Ref #15682/1921.
George's brother, James William MORRIS was born in 1906 in the Redfern district of New South Wales. His parents are named as James W and Elsie M. Source: NSW Birth Index Ref #7247/1906.
If I come across any more info regarding your line will pass it on to you.
Good luck with your research. We all need it.

Thank you Roy. The information you have found I already have but thanks for looking anyway. George Left the family when my father-in-law was 2 days old. I have found that he remarried and they had a stillborn child. I have also found his 2nd wifes date of death and where she was buried. Her death certificate says she was a widow at time of death. I am still unable to find George's death, it is very frustrating. I have been lucky enough to have found contact with family members in New Zealand who have provided me with lots of information on other members of the family. They were not aware we existed so I have also been able to give them information. I seem to have come to a brick wall though with regard to George and his date of death, he was born 17.7.1902. Once again thank you very much for trying to help, I do appreciate it and would be very greatful if you were to find anything else.
Regards

Hi Julie, I know this post is quite old but are you aware of George's army service? Ric
