- daughter Cecilia Mabel Jacobi was born 13 Feb 1903, died 1918 aged 15
- Mabel died 5 weeks after Cecilia's birth
- Alfred died 7 years later in 1910 aged 38. His probate was in Dannevirke but his burial not found

Bush Advocate, 20 August 1906 JENSEN - On 19th inst., at Norsewood, Christian Jensen, aged 82 years. The funeral of the late Christian Jensen will leave his residence on the Ormondville-Norsewood road, at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, for the Norsewood cemetery
Bush Advocate, 24 August 1906 The funeral of the late Mr Christian Jensen took place at Norsewood on Wednesday, at which a very large gathering of sorrowing relatives and friends were present. The first part of the service was conducted at the late residence of deceased by Paston Petersen. After the hymn, "Who knows how near my life's expended?" was sung, the coffin, which was covered with beautiful floral tributes of love and esteem, was borne to the hearse by Messrs N. Nikolaisen, W. Berkahn, W. Jensen and A. Jensen and the sad procession proceeded to the cemetery, where Pastor Petersen concluded the service, preaching from the texts: "We all do fade as a leaf" and "Verily, verily, Isay unto you, if a man keeps my saying, he shall never see death." Very heartfelt sympathy is expressed for the family in their sad bereavement

Bush Advocate, 16 February 1907 Recently, there died at Dannevirke a young Dane named Frank Jensen. The deceased was employed on the Mangatoro station, where he was very popular, and his fellow employees and a few friends, as a mark of respect, have contributed the sum of ?5 (2010 equivalent of $730) towards the erection of a tombstone over the grave. The matter of selection and of having it erected has been placed in the hands of Mr Charles Neilsen

We regret to have to record to-day the death of Mr Heinrich John, a well-known settler of the Tiratu district. The late Mr John was formerly a resident of the Kimbolton district, and came to the Dannevirke district about seven years ago. He was a very worthy man, and was much respected by his friends, who will hear with much regret of his death. He is survived by a wife and grown-up family
