Edis was my father's sister. She died a long time ago, but I have no idea when. She was an early days "single mom" left that way by the death of her husband, Flem. She had three sons, A.D. Burl, and Don. If my memory serves me right she also had a daughter who died when she was very young.
The boys earned a livelihood by operating a dairy behind their house that was very modern by the standards of that day. They had milking machines that few people in the area had.
The sons did not continue in that line of work when they got old enough to go out on their own.
