My grandfather, Maurice Harry Axilrod (Moses Aaron) is from Karnasht, Russia, arrived in late 1890's and setled in Atlantic City, NJ. He was a physician and evidently came from a large family, however, I never met any of them.

My grandfather Maurice, was from a family of twelve children. Their father was a talmudic scholar. Evidently one of the brothers, Henry was a "scoundrel" and spent time in prison. This info was gvin to me by Maurice's, son's (Herbert's) second wife, Mary.
