2019 on 2019-12-29 03:37:17GORCHY is a shorten version for the township of Glenorchy on the Wimmera river. It was settled before Stawell approx, 30km away. Glenorchy was on the gold escort route from South Australia to Bendigo, during the gold rush. It is situated on the main rail link between Melbourne and Adelaide.

Glenorchy is correct. Gorchy is the abbreviation which I must have used from my notes at the time and have no idea why. Have now included the full spelling. If Robert and Jane died at Campbell's Bridge the deaths must have been registered in Glenorchy.
