Thomas BEMROSE from Lincolnshire b. 1791
I'm looking to find a connection to the BEMROSE faimly in Lincolnshire with my gr gr grandfather, Thomas BEMROSE(Brownlow). He was born in 1791 in Beckingham, Lincolnshire, served in the British Army, deserted, was put in prison, was conscripted back into the Royal West India Rangers and was sent to Antigua. He changed his name to BROWNLOW and after his service was complete, he was granted land in New Brunswick, Canada, where he settled and raised a family. After 1861, I lose track of him and cannot locate a death record in Canada. Perhaps he went back to England?
I have documents to prove the name change and his military service and his birthdate and place.
Does he fit in with anyone's family in Lincolnshire. Was there a Tomas BEMROSE who disappeared from the family in England around 1818?
ANy help would be most appreciated.
