Frederick WOOLLISCROFT (1829-1903)

After farming at Waiwhetu, near Lower Hutt, at some time Frederick and his family moved north to the Wairarapa where he once again farmed after clearing land from the bush in Carterton - his last 3 children were born there ... Later they moved further north to the Manawatu
He married Mary Twigg in England. He died 25 years before her and they are buried together in Ashhurst.
23 Dec 1903 - The remains of the late Frederick Williscroft were interred in the Ashhurst cemetery on Monday afternoon. Many residents paid their last respects by following the remains to the graveside. An impressive burial service was conducted by the Rev. Woodward, both in the Church of England and at the graveside. Deceased, who had reached the ripe old age of 74 years, was a native of Staffordshire, England, and had resided in the colony for close on 50 years and he was well-known as one of the early settlers in the Wairarapa. He leaves a wife and grown-up family of ten, with whom much sympathy is felt.

27 December 1930 ROTORUA this day - A serious accident, caused through a collision between a bus and a car occurred on the Whakarewarewa road yesterday about noon
There were three occupants of the car, Fred Williscroft, aged 23 (sic), was badly cut and bruised, and died last night in the King George V Hospital. Francis Williscroft received a broken leg and other injuries, and Agnes Wiliscroft receive concussion. Both were admitted to hospital, the latter's condition being reported as serious. Their condition is now favourable
11 June 1931 HAMILTON - On a charge of negligently driving a car so as to cause the death of his brother at Rotorua, Francis James Williscroft was found not guilty by a jury after a short retirement

I am researching George Burrell of London.George Was Born -1854in London-George Went to Aus.And married Hanorah Williscroft
-Children were Ellen-George-Gladys-Ellsie-George came over on a ship called Marquis I believe(spelling may be different)parents were Reuben and Margaret Burrell.George died in Sydney in 1872I believe nov6-1925

Thank you so much .I'll be sure to check dates.Williscroft was Hannorah maiden name right.I see now how that can bring the puzzle together.Such a bittersweet story.
