Looking for mother of Pansy Jane Law Shepparton Victoria Australia

My mother Thelma Obrien born in 1928 in Shepparton Victoria knew nothing of her own mother who,s maiden name was Pansy Jane Law born in we think 1896 ....Unfortunately Pansy died in 1933 leaving a young family and alot of unanswered questions behind her .... She was illegitimate and i think brought up by her Uncle Thomas and Aunt Ellen Law who lived in a very small wooden house at the end of Mason St in Shepparton , the verandah covered in vines from what i can remember .......Pansy,s first husband was Francis Toomey who died in the first world war then she married my grandfather James Obrien .No birth Certificate is available for Pansy and i have been trying to track down her mother for many years ... I think perhaps her mother could be Christine Law daughter of Thomas and Ellen Law but there is another daughter so who knows and i sure hope someone out there does .. My Mother Thelma died in 1994 but she did her best to find the truth , would be lovely if i could be the one to find out who my Grandmother Pansy was ....Would love to hear from anyone who has any knowledge about Pansy ,,

Let me give you what i know and has been verified ,,Thomas Law B 1836 Polmouth Scotland D Euroa 27.7.1924 ..........Married Eliza Jane Mckee Born 1838 County Down Ireland died 18.3.1924 at Shepparton ,, they had 11 children .. Christina was the first born on the 14.7.1858 and her first husband was a Mr Tom Denner from Uranquinty located near Wagga N.S.W. they had 2 sons ,Her second husband was a Mr Sweetman ,,, If this isnt your family tree i,m sorry to have worried you ,, and yes i did use the wrong name for Thomas,s other half ,,, Would like to hear back to know if i,m on the wrong track ,,,, Cheers Ferrinda

The initial mixup in names ocurred when i used Ellen who was wife to the younger Thomas born in 1861 and they in turn were the surrogate parents to my grandmother Pansy and actualy were her uncle and aunt and thats where i become stuck .. The reaon i think Christina may have been her mum is because she was a witness to Pansy,s first marriage under the name of Sweetman ,, just a mystery waiting to be uncovered .,, Ferrinda

My great grandfather Edwin Albert James born in Sheerness Kent in 1865 came to Australia aboard the Ship Royal Dane in 1873 ,,,,Landed in QLD with his father Richard , mother Jane Hooper and siblings .........In all the searching i,ve done i find the same names coming up over again in different sites and i can see intermarriages in Australia of families who were connected in the old country ,,, Cornwall is where the Hoopers came from along with Lucas and many others ............ I,m asking DO YOU HAVE ANY INFO REGARDING PANSY ,,, its very important to me Ive been looking for a long time ,,, On her first Marriage certificate in the box marked Father she wrote Allen then put a line through it and then put her uncle Thomas in as her dad ,,,So far Christina between marriages is my best bet , actualy i,m 99% sure ,, I do have a photo of her with mr Sweetman when they were both elderly if you would like to see it

ferrinda on 2011-08-26 19:02:09The Law,s that are connected to me were based primarily in Euroa ....I just pulled out my file and yes seems we have the same people ,,,I have an Annie Law born 1859 in Euroa ,,father Thomas and mother Ellen Jane Mckee ,,Thom was born Polmont Stirlingshire about 1825-36 ,,i,ve just read quickly through and McClusky William is there ,,,I,ll leave this file out and perhaps we can swap info ,,Cheers Pauline
