Looking for BROWN family from Sydney, NSW, Australia

Stewart Charles BROWN. Born Sydney,NSW 31 December 1875. Father Charles, born Sydney 1850, Mother Mary, (Maiden name ORKNEY) born Sydney 1851. Charles and Mary had a daughter (name not known) before Stewart. Not aware of any other children.

Stewart moved to South Africa in the late 1800's/early 1900's. He was a keen cricketer and was one of the first officers in the Transvaal Horse Artillery (THA). He married Louisa Lamont in Johannesburg in July 1912. Louisa's father was seconded from the Royal Horse Artillery to start the THA and was it's first Adjutant. Stewart was seconded to the Royal Artillery for most of WW1 and was awarded the Military Cross weeks before Armistice.

Stewart died in the early 1920's of septiceamia from a burst appendix

Stewart's daughter Margaret (Peggy) was in correspondence with family members in Australia prior to her death from cancer in 1956
