My name is Terry Etherton, my father is Donald Dale, my grandfather is Grover B. My grandfather died before I was born. I have heard stories about him but nothing else. He was an avid fisherman. Fishing in the Sangamon river in Macon County,IL. He married my grandmother Emma Hartman and the had eight children, Ethyl,Ruth,Thelma,Gerladine, Norma,Roy,Grover(Junior) Donald. They lived in rural Macon County, southwest of Decatur. I think that Grover B. was from Kentucky. I had always heard that he was part Cherokee Indian. I hope someone can help me find out about my family history.
