My Fletcher family came from Matlock+ yes l can fill in 3 generations
down to myself.John "Jack'Fletcher was my grandfather.

Hello Lynda.

If you can assist with any of the missing details for this post it would be appreciated, including any corrections.

I'm also interested in finding out some details about George FLETCHER and Emily TONKIN in the way of births, deaths and marriage details to assist me further with my research. Other researchers insist that this Emily TONKIN is connected with my line but I have been unable to make the connection to date.

Any help appreciated.

I know more about George FLETCHER +Emily TONKIN .George was born
England,married winter Melbourne 1866. Went to Matlock Vic.He died 11 Feb 1887.Burried Matlock cemetery.Emily FLETCHER had a "hotel"in Matlock.
I think they had 7 children.Annie Jane,Sarah Emily,Eliza Caroline,Jonah George,Selina ,James Edmund,John'Jack'FLETCHER .
John 'Jack' was my grandfather most of these people were born Woods Point or Matlock

I have done some research on George and Emily since my last reply and have just posted my findings in a journal. I seem to be on the right track so have a look and let me know if you have the same details. I'm still missing a few deaths, so you may be able to add further.

I have hit a brick wall with Emily's birth so far, but I will keep looking.
