My great great grandfather was John Martin but i have no details of his date of birth,residence or spouse. Family legend has it that they originally came from Newport,Tipperary and their lands were confiscated.
Great grandparents were Thomas Martin and Bridget Hanley,married in Kilcommon in 1887. Thomas had one sister Mary married to William Moloughney. Again information from family is that Thomas was from Drumbane,Tipperary and bought the family farm in Curreeney (Knockfune).
My grandfather was John Martin married to Bridget Coffey. John had a brother Patrick who lived with his mother in Curreeney. John had sisters,one married into the Fant family of Pallas and one into the Farrell family of Cappaghwhite.
