* Emily Mary Longdill (1859-1927)
daughter of Pynson Wilmot Longdill (1812-1875) + Harriet ROBINSON (1832-1911), married Johan 'Oscar' Skogsborg FAIR 30 Aug 1895, Auckland Registry Office
* Johan Oscar Skogsborg Fair, aka Oscar Robert Fair, aka Johan Oscar Skogsborg, was born in Sweden, 1 of at least 9 children of Johan Jacob Rodin (1793-1835) & Anna Lisa Ekengren (1789-1834). All of his siblings had the surname Skogsborg, Johan adding Fair to his name later.

* In 1911 Oscar was a Theatrical manager at 29 Upper Pitt Street, Auckland
* In June 1918 he was a passenger on the ill-fated passenger steamship ss Wimmera. He was listed as a Hairdresser of Belgium Street, Waiheke Islnad, Auckland.
At 10:00 am on 25 June 1918 the ship left Auckland, New Zealand, bound for Sydney, Australia, via Three Kings Islands. There were 76 passengers and 75 crew aboard (151 people). Her route was to take her north towards the Three Kings Islands where she would turn west and south toward Sydney. However, at 5:15 a.m. on 26 June 1918 she struck a mine, laid by the German merchant raider SMS Wolf, north of Cape Maria van Diemen, NZ and sank. Of the 151 on board, 125 were saved. Johan was one of those saved and was 1 of the 76 folk who were landed at Tom Bowling Bay, Northland. The Story. Johan was a much travelled (& married) man. His death found to date.
* Emily died in 1927 & Horace next married Esther Muriel Mossman (1885-1967) in 1931. She was Emily's niece, daughter of her sister, Mary Adele Stella Longdill (see below)

* George Frederick Longdill (1855-1905)
- son of Pynson Wilmot Longdill (1812-1875) + Harriet ROBINSON (1832-1911). Pynson & Harriet
arrived in NZ 1859. He acted as German Consul for New Zealand
- George married Mary Jane KNEEBONE (1860-1929) 1 April 1891 in Thames, Coromandel
- daughter of William Henry KNEEBONE of Creed, Cornwall, England & Jane POPE of Lostwithiel, Cornwall, England who emigrated to NZ and died in Coromandel
* Mary Jane first married William Stevens HOSKING in 1879
* Mary Jane & William had 3 known children:
* 1879 - ? William Charles Hosking (went to America with father as a child)
* 1881 - ? Clara Annie Hosking (married Reynold Reginald ZANK (1875-1920)
* 1884 - 1962 Leonard Hosking (baby when others went to USA)
- William & Mary Jane divorced about 1884
* Mary Jane had 2 daughters:
* 1887 - 1967 Ivy Hosking/Kneebone (m Frederick Eliott MURRAY 1912)
- adopted? by George Frederick Longhill. Ivy's Memoriam to her dad
* 1888 - 1935 Kate Winifred Hosking/Kneebone
* Mary Jane & George had 5 known children:
* 1890 - 1929 Pynson Wilmot Longdill (died in Sydney)
* 1892 - 1984 Stella Adele Longdill (married twice)
* 1896 - 1964 George Frederick Longdill (died Boxing Day in Auckland)
* 1899 - 1980 Edward Proud Longdill (died in Gisborne)
* 1902 - 2000 Phyllis Mary Longdill (married Maurice John GODDARD)
MARY JANE died 27 Feb 1929 at her residence, Allenby Ave, Devonport, Auckland aged 69. Her son Pynson Wilmott Longdill had died 22 days before her, on 5 Fe 1929 in the Kogarah Hospital, New South Wales aged 37

- they had 2 known children:
* 1885 - 1967 Esther Muriel Mossman
- Esther married her Auntie's widower (see Emily Mary Longdill above)
* 1886 - 12 April 1915 Thomas Henry Mossman
- Thomas served as Trooper 9/728. He Died of Disease WWI in Cairo

* Pynson Wilmott Longdill (1890-1929)
son of George Frederick LONGDILL & Mary Jane KNEEBONE
Pynson married Catherine Mary LITTLE 10 May 1915
* Pynson served in WWI as Trooper 13/2218. His next of kin was listed as his wife Catherine c/o E. C. Barriball, Waiuku (Catherine was to marry a Barriball in Waiuku 1919, see above). He was seriously wounded at Gallipoli & admitted to Luxor Hospital (Convalescent Depot)
* Trooper 13/2218, Pynson Wilmott Longdill of the 3rd Auckland Mounted Rifles, 6th Reinforcements, seriously wounded at Gallipoli, wrote home to his mother, Mary Jane in Dec 1915 "Everything is very dear here and I shall quote you some of the prices we pay for food etc. First of all, eggs are 2d each and you generally get four or five rotten ones in a dozen. Nut milk chocolate, which we buy in Auckland for 3d, we pay 6d for. Condensed milk is 1/- per tin (10c), safety matches 1d per box instead of two for 1d. A tin of pears costs 2/-; we pay 1/1 or 1/2 for it in New Zealand, and so on. You could buy candles in New Zealand for 7d per packet; we pay 6d for five half-candles, which only last about an bout"

* 1917 - 1984 George Wilmott Longdill
- Pynson was acting as a Clerk for a Bookie in 1927 when he appeared in Court. He remarried & died in Australia (3 weeks before his mother, see Mary Jane above)

married Norman Edward SMITH 6 Dec 1930, Holy Trinity Church, Devonport
