I am searching for location found on Grandfather's name (passenger list) arriving at Ellis Island in 1904.

Evian-les-Bains is a commune in the northern part of the Haute-Savoie department in the Rhone-Alpes region in south-eastern France. An exclusive holiday resort and spa town on the shores of Lake Geneva (aka Lac Leman), for two centuries, it has hosted many Royals such as Kings Edward VII, George V of England or King Farouk of Egypt and celebrities such as countess Anna de Noailles or Marcel Proust.

Ellis Island was the gateway for millions of immigrants to the United States as the site of the nation's busiest immigrant inspection station from 1892 to 1954
- there are photos of Ellis Island at the above link taken in 1904 of immigrants being processed so is how your grandfather would have seen it on his arrival

Thank you very much for the information. The village was listed on the ship manifest my Grandfather arrived on 1904 at ellis Island. It is greatly appreciated.
