To be honest we dont know a great deal about him. We know he was a english soldier based in Ireland. He married our grandmother in County Londonderry back in 1943 and they had 2 sons. We know from the marriage certificate his father was called Henry Benton and he was a boat worker. He left the family home in 1949 approximately and no one has heard anything about him since.
