Born August 8, 1868. Christened at St Peters, Liverpool, Lancashire, England
At age 13 he migrated to Australia, leaving Plymouth, England on 26th October 1881 for Townville Queensland, Australia, on the ship, "Durham".
In 1884, at the age of sixteen, he married Prisilla Worthington.
He set up a tin smithing business on Mossman Street in the goldfields of Charters Towers. He died in 1891 at Charters Towers, Queensland, Australia.
Prisilla WORTHINGTON.
Born in England and was christened on 20th August 1865 at Christ Church, Ashton, Lancashire,England. Her occupation in England was that of a cotton weaver and dressmaker. In 1884,at age 19 she married John MCKAIG, in Charters Towers, Queensland,Australia. She died in Charters Towers, Queensland, Australia, on 26th October, 1936.
John Lawrance MCKAIG and Prisilla WORTHINGTON were the great grandparents of Frank James GORRY, of Innisfail, Queensland, Australia

The 7th child was son Henry, my grandfather, was also a tinsmith and plumber in Home Hill North Queensland and died May 1944. I have information including the migration from Plymouth on the vessel 'Durham' 1881 to Townsville. I am planning to go to the UK in 2015 and am seeking useful information of the McKaig, Worthington, Crossman, Dixon, Dawson, Balfe and Lewis families please.
