In the 1913 Electoral Role, there were many JOHNSONS; Names like ANDREW,ALFRED, KENNETH, RAYMOND, ALICE, MARY ARTHUR.LISLE IS, OR WAS A MINING TOWN 32 MLS FROM LAUNCESTON TASMANIA. TURNERS MARSH, BANGOR, KAROOLA ARE OTHER TOWNS IN THIS AREA. McCARTHY'S also lived in this area and MINNIE McCarthy married into the JOHNSON mob, Namely ANDREW JOHNSON.

I only know about the children of ANDREW AND MINNIE JOHNSON. But what happened to all the others???

Hope to hear something soonest, thanks, regards JAMES JOHNSON. MARCH 2011.

Hi Wendy. Yes we are related. I think I know Keron's Mother. Alice was my Aunty. My Grand Mother was Minnie. Certainly can fill in some missing pieces. I wont put my Email address here as we were Scammed from doing so. jim.

hi james, thanks for replying. Kerons grandmother was alice kerr (nee Johnson). We have hers and ernest kerrs marriage certificate from 1926, stating that Andrew and Minnie were her parents, she was only 17 at the time. Kerons mother is Alice Ada Buckingham (nee Kerr), she is in good health at the age of 79 and living in Victoria. She still has one surviving sibling (Patricia, who coincidently married a Robert Johnson, not related), and is in good health at age approx. 90 living in Scottsdale, tas.
The reason we began to search kerons ancestry was that we have a photo of Minnie taken some years ago at Derby, and she seems to have a very strong aboriginal resemblance, do you know any info regarding this?

Hi Wendy. My sisters name is also Wendy.
Minnie's mother was Jane Saul..... I can't find anything about her. I don't know anything about Her if she was Part Abo or not. We have often commented on that.
I know & have written to Alice when she was in Tassie.
I know Pat & have written to her a long time ago.
I come from Tassie, my ex still lives there in Hobart. jim

Hi Lucia. I know the three of Raymond's sons. Your husband can only be Ean?
Minnies family did NOT come from Greenland.
I will send my Email address to you. james ( known as jim )

Thanks James, yes that's right. Unfortunately Ian can not place you, so we will be keen to get your email address for further information. I'm not sure how the process works as we are new to this site - I can confirm that we have very little information to offer but Ian was hoping to find where his grandmother was buried so we could visit. We look forward to hearing from you.

with thanks
