I have discovered that a number of researchers have listed William's name as William Smith Dickerson. He was the father of Hiram C. Dickerson and lived in Virginia/West Virginia. However, my grandmother, Queen Dickerson Franklin, claimed his name was William Vincent and that he was the grandfather of her father, Rev. William Vincent Dickerson, who died at a young age and was the husband of Emarine Bartram. I have located Obediah and Griffith but need to confirm that "my" William Vincent Dickerson is in that line. I have seen from an old message board that there is a family Bible around somewhere but am unable to locate it. Part of the difficulty of researching seems to be the Virginia to Wayne County, WV transition.
