Things I remember mama talking about:
Her mother died when she was 1 year old,her dad died when she was 2 years old. She was born in Water Valley Ms. Apparently raised by an aunt Mary & uncle Bill MARTIN around Jackson Ms,maybe into Ok.
She had a sister named Ruth (Ruthie) and I think Corina.A brother names Bill HOBSON who worked for the railroad and was killed in the early 20's ,something to do with his work.
One story was they were playing in the woods in leaves and an apperation of her mother came up out of the leaves. She was very supersticious.
Some of her family died in floods and some died with scarlet fever. I wish I had paid more attention,but kids don't really know about geneolagy.
Her family was indian and irish.
