I know my ancestors were originally from England. My grandfather, Jesse I. Broughton was b. in 1899 in North Carolina and married Ruby L., who was born in 1902 in Alabama. They moved to Detroit, MI in the 1930's. Their children were Jesse I., Jr and William R. My grandfather owned a grocery store in Detroit with his brother Julian.
