Looking for any Sherburd Family on Stewart Island

Our ancestors came from Tasmania and a WILLIAM SHERBURD apparently went to live on Stewart Island about years 1856 to 1861. He wss involved in the Whaling Industry.
Married in 1861 to SARAH WAIMIEA FOSTER who was believed to be born on
Stewart Is. He died in 1883 on Stewart Is.
Williams SON - ROBERT (Born Abt 1834 in Tssmania, by Williams 1st Marriage) married in Abt 1865 in New Sealand to a ANNE FOSTER
I would like to confirm all this and would appreciate and more information available. Thank You
