William Ridd Waters was born in Cambridge 1829/30. In 1850 he travelled to the USA and lost his wife and son in a fire on board the Griffith on Lake Erie on their way to Medina, Ohio. In 1851 he was in Medina where he was a shoemaker. He left there between 1851 & 1855 to travel to Australia. He arrived in New Zealand in 1855 (according to his Death Certificate). I am searching for his whereabouts in Australia during that time, also how and when he arrived there and his voyage to New Zealand. There was a William Waters as a passenger from New York to Melbourne, Aus in 1853 on the Tarolinta but I have no idea where to obtain the passenger list. Any ideas?
