I do not have information regarding the militia, however, I am trying to track down more of my family history and have two Alexander Redpaths so far. The younger was born October 4, 1837(or 1839) and died in 1922. He was married to Jessie Taylor November 2, 1868. This Alexander's grandfather was also named Alexander Redpath. He was born in 1787 and was married to Catherine Adamson. His parents were Robert Redpath and Janet Redpath (Mason). Please let me know if these names fit in on your family tree and I can provide other names that I have.

Hi Dennis I dont know these names but then I have only just begun to research the redpath Family My Alexander was born april 1784 and christened 1784 Coldstream Berwick Scotland his father is William Redpath I dont have a mother Alexander married Jean McBain in 1805 and he was in the Berwickshire Militia at this time they had 2 children that I have found a mary b?and a William Born 1809 Alexanders wife jean Mcbain father was a gardener at Stobo Castle at the time of their marriage thats all I know . at this stage the redpaths came down to croydon Surrey and i dont know when but i still have redpaths living there.
