JOHN TERRY B1909 LANCASHIRE

Query by kath23

Does anyone have any TERRY family ancestors in the Lancashire area please ?

Most of the Terry families I have found have been from Southern England but the ones I am researching originate in Ireland but then travelled to Scotland before on to Lancashire.

JOHN TERRY B1909 BURY LANCASHIRE was the son of WILLIAM TERRY B1890 HEYWOOD LANCASHIRE and my mothers brother.

I have only just found out that my mother had a brother called John. He died as a prisoner of war in Japan in WW2 and she never mentioned him to me .

WILLIAM TERRY B1890 was in the Royal Navy and it would seem that John was brought up by the JACKSON family in BURY LANCASHIRE and this is possibly why my mother never said she had another brother.

Is there anyone researching these families ?

Terry family as follows

Jackson family as follows

DAVID JACKSON B1865 BURY LANCASHIRE married ANNIE ORRELL B1869 BURY LANCASHIRE

I would be interested to hear from anyone who is researching these families
