May I suggest that you tell where William James Taylor was born, lived and died. Taylor is such a common name, and so is William James.
This information will help others to help you in your request.
Best wishes in your research.
All I know is they lived in Sydney NSW Australia in a place called Gympie or something like that. I think he was a jeweller. And he died in Sydney This is all I know. Thanks
Do you have any information that you have the correct William James Taylor as there are quite a few in NSW and Queensland.
Do you have any certificates to verify any connections Birth, Marriage Death?
If you don't have the certificates it may help in your research if you purchased their marriage certificate, it should give you both their fathers names.
Marriage reference
Name: William James Taylor
Spouse Name: Doris Henrietta Uren
Marriage Date: 1937
Marriage Place: New South Wales
Registration Place: Sydney, New South Wales
Registration Year: 1937
Registration Number: 581
you can search the NSW BDM on line at
http://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/familyHistory/searchHistoricalRecords.htm
his death, 1964 Burwood NSW is listed there with his fathers name as James and mothers name Janet Winifred, however the information is only what the informant knows and sometimes it is not accurate, you would have to purchase the certificate to verify the details.
It also a bit confusing because 'Gympie' is in Queensland not NSW, if the above William James & Doris Henrietta are correct then they lived in NSW between 1943-1963 according to the Electoral Rolls the house name may have been 'Gympie' not the suburb name.
The NSW Electoral Rolls show William & Doris
1943 Colvelly occup. Salesmans
1949-1958 Campsie occup. Manufacturer
1963 Kingsgrove occup. Manager
The information form the certificates should allow you to research more information on the family, grandparents, siblings etc.
