NOTICE
WHEREAS my WIFE, MARY QUANTRILL, formerly MARY EATHER, has left her home without any cause or provocation: This is to caution the public not to give her any CREDIT, as I will not be responsible for any DEBTS she may contract after this; and 1 further give notice that any parties found driving cattle from the undermentioned estate will be prosecuted according to law.
JOHN QUANTRILL.
De Quiros Villa,
Cockfighter's Creek,

Note*: Some branches of Quantrill family have a history of what was then called hereditary chemodectoma or known these days as Paraganglioma
Thomas was the illegitimate son of Mary born after Samuel died Registered as Thomas Heather mother Mary. There was much speculation as to who his father was as there are no records of Quantrill acknowledging him as his son. HOWEVER: I have been told by members of the Thomas Eather/ Jane Barnett family, Chemodectoma is present in some of their decendants.

Mary died on the 13 November 1880 at Goorangoola, New South Wales.

Below is the headstone of Sarah and Henry Tudor at Jerrys Plains Old Anglican Cemetery, Pagan Street, Jerrys Plains, New South Wales, Australia

Walter Hanchant was my great great uncle. The marriage to Alice was something not known in our family.

Alice married Walter Hanchant in Perth in 1913 when she was 56. He had a house and blacksmith business at 8 Hutt St., North Perth. Alice died on the 10 February 1919 leaving her estate valued at ?575 to just one of her 3 living sons Clarence Isaac Bathgate Smith 1880-1963. She's buried in the Anglican Section of the Karrakatta Cemetery. Walter returned to South Australia from where I believe he had been born, and died at the Jervois County Hospital, Cowell, South Australia on the 24 October 1933, he was 68.

Walter was born in Kensington, Adelaide and prior to his working in Western Australia he worked on the West Coast of South Australia with his two brothers (also Blacksmith's). He returned to South Australia to live with one of his sister's and her family. I have photos of him with that sister and his brother (my g grandfather). My grandfather loved his Uncle Walter and looked forward to his visits but he always thought that Walter was a Bachelor.
