looking at the family tree...rawlinsons appear to come from furness area as long back as 1450..
walter and his brother henry fough tat agincourt in 1415 and were awarded land in the colton / graythwaite area...a descendent thomas was lord abbot of furness and other rawlinsons owned cark hall rusland hall and others....theres a bunch of slavetraders in there as well, along with parliamentarians and one lord mayor of london..

if there is anyone out there who has furthe info on the family i would be glad to exchange...
