I am trying to research my husbands family.
His father was Sapper Donald Keith Stephens. Killed July 1942 when the Japanese troopship Monto Video Maru ( He was a POW taken during the Fall of Rabual member of the 2/22nd Lark Force)was sunk by the USS Sturgeon off the Is.Luzon.
I dont know any thing about his family except he had a brother Norman & sister Alice Both of whom passed away some years ago Neither had children. Don had three children Maureen (dec)Irene (dec) & Keith. Donald married a Mary Murphy (dec) After his death Mary remarried. Can any one help me contect the dots & hopefully find out about Keiths unknown family.
I have also been told that the S was added because the name sounded to German
