Reletives of Michael Marsden Coach Trimmer.

Journal by kezz

I am looking for any living reletives of Michael Marsden, he was born in Dublin 1819 and had a twin brother Benjamin, and a sister Rosanne, Michael came to Kent England in around 1842, and married Sarah Bartholomew, they then lived in the brighton area, where Michael worked as a coach trimmer for the brighton railway, almost all of the men in the family were coach trimmers starting with Michaels father Edward back in Dublin Ireland, Benjamin (also a coach trimmer) took the sister Rosanne to Lancashire around the same time as Michael came to Kent,Rosanne married Thomas Marsden ( coach trimmer ) and possibly a cousin and they went to Tasmania where he also worked on the railways, she died there in Nov 1884. I am decended from Michaels youngest son Fredrick who married Ellen Pilbeam they went on to have my grandfather Alexander, the coach trimmers became upholsterers and Fredrick, Alexander and my father Kenneth were all in this trade. I hope some of this rings a bell with someone out there as I know I have family directly related to Michael and Sarah in the Lewis/Brighton area and would love to hear from them.....
