He was born in England in 1820 and moved to Sydney Australia then to Brisbane when that colony opened up in 1842. In 1848 he married CATHERINE HORE and they had 8 children. He was a publican and pastoralist and mariner then finally gold miner and died during the Palmer River gold rush near Cooktown Queensland on 15 February 1874.
I would love to find out more about his parents etc.
