Diamond's of Big Brook/Nameless Cove/Flower's Cove Northern Newfoundland

I am trying to paste together my family tree from the Big Brook area of Northern Newfoundland. To date, I have found my GGrandfather: JOHN DAN Diamond (Married BERTHA Hodge(?) of Main Brook?) whose mother was "Grandmother ROSE" (married a ROSE after JOHN DAN was born?) possibly ANN DIAMOND (see:

Grandmother Rose had at least two (2) brothers: MATTHEW JAMES Diamond (Joshua?) b.Feb 1884 (married JANET) and JOHN THOMAS Diamond b.Aug 1878 (married ELIZABETH)
JOHN possibly 'raised' ERNEST HILL and/or AUGUSTINE COLES
It looks like they moved between Big Brook, Nameless Cove and Four Mile Cove, possibly settling in Big Brook in the early part of the century.
Any light you can shed would be greatly appreciated!

According to an email I got from Karl in ON, I have been able to expand on my research:
PHILLIP DIAMOND (originally from Catalina, NL) married GRACE and when Phillip died (4 June 1844) GRACE moved to Flower's Cove and married JOSEPH NOSEWORTHY
Phillip & Grace had at least two (2) sons: ABIJAH and JOSHUA
- Joshua Diamond b. 27 Feb 1842 married Caroline Coles and had 9 children:
-->Ann, Jane, Caroline, Eli, George, John, Joshua, Manoah, Matthew
- Abijah Diamond b. Dec 1938 married Charlotte Ann Thatchell (daughter of HENRY Thatchell and JANE ORGAN) and had two children:
--> Henry Phillip, Alfreda Jane
All of what I "thought" were brothers (same names appear multiple times) appear to be the children of Joshua & Caroline Coles.
Children of Joshua & Caroline:
- Manoah Diamond b. Aug 1866 married Margaret Hodge
- George W. Diamond b.11 Mar 1870 married Mary Whelan
- John Diamond b. Feb 1872 Married Abigail Wiltshire (Catalina? brought daughter Jessie from Catalina? They also "raised" Timothy Gaulton) **ABIGAIL was a CARNELL who married ALBERT WILTSHIRE and had JESSIE. ALBERT must have died and she married JOHN DIAMOND sometime after 1900
- Joshua Thomas Diamond b.4 Aug 1878 married Elizabeth (Betty) Walsh
- Eli Phillip Diamond b. 15 Jan 1882 married Sarah Coles
- Matthew James Diamond b. 25 Feb 1884 married Janet Ann (Jenny) ?Unknown?
- Ann Diamond b. Feb 1867 married Walter Rose
- Caroline Diamond b. 2 Feb 1886 married James (Jim) Janes
Abijah & Charlotte had
- Phillip Diamond b. 1895 married Mabel Unknown?
- Alfreda Jane b. 4 Dec 1892 married WILLIAM PLOWMAN
Newfoundland genealogy has some loops doesn't it? Too bad we don't have much more documentation to go on!! Not many records available but what is can be found on:
