Amazing....was trawling the Internet seeing if I could find something about my mother instead of father and discovered that Dad's grandfather was a convict. Dad is 98, really sharp and could tell the people who put up the post lots of stuff....but it has been taken down. would love to hear
from you and find out who you are.

I realise your posts are quite a while ago and you may no longer be using this site - but figured I give it ago.
We were given a series of glass plate photographs by Alexander Edward Wildey.
They were being thrown out into a rubbish skip when someone was clearing out for earthquake repairs in Christchurch. Our connection and the reason they were passed to us is AE Wildey was a mate of my husbands great-great grandfather - Samuel H Moreton (an artist through the late 1800's early 1900's).
Contact me on theofficekaiapoi@gmail.com if you are interested or have family in New Zealand that would like to have the slides. There is a range of photos - from posed shots to family snaps, tramping etc.
We will not throw away - but offer to the Christchurch Museum to see if they are interested in any of the slides.
