I have come to road block in my research for my family in the UK.MY grandfather JOHN ROBERT LEVER was born in Cambridge in 1839,to parents John Lever and Mary Elizabeth nee Francis.I have been informed that John's parent's were Benjamin and Ann [Cripps].I have found Benjamin's parents Joseph and Mary in Darwen, and their children Mary,James, and Benjamin. Can anyone help me to find their families further,in the UK.Any information would be wonderful. Thanks BARB

John Lever born 1839 and Mary born 1811 were living at Brandon Place, St Andrew the Less, Cambridge, England in the 1841 census.Thei children John 1840 Cambridgeshire and ann 1838 cambridgeshire were with them, John was a Tailor. In 1851 census Mary is a Widow, a Dressmaker born in Southwold, Suffolk, living with Ann (daughter) John (Son) Henry (son) 1842 cambridgeshire, Mary Francis (mother widow) 1789 Easton, Norfolk. 1861 Census Mary is a College Servant living with son Henry B a Labourer

Thank's very much for your response. The John born 1839 was my ggreatfather,he went to NZ in the 1860s and married in 1867 there. But someone in the UK has informed me that the John 1811's parent's were Benjamin born 1763,and Ann[Cripps]That is where i have become unstuck as i thought his father was a James and mother Elizabeth. So will have to keep looking. It's hard when you live the other side of the world. But thanks again.BARB
