My ancestry searches have brought me as far as William Potts, b. 1777 in Acomb. He marries Ann Leadbitter in 1805. I would really like to know more about his family and any of his ancestors. I have had my DNA tested and the closest testers to me find their paperwork taking them to Haydon Bridge, Haltwhistle, and Lines Farm by Bewcastle. We have not had a solid connection on paper. My wife and I have traveled to Acomb and the country side and found it beautiful.
In any case, if someone has access to further information on this Potts branch I would really appreciate it.
