I started looking into my maiden name's history a few years ago. I wouldn't work on it everyday, but in spurts.
Luckily for me, a Pamplin has already written books on the 'Pamplin' surname. I haven't bought the books, yet, but maybe someday. I'm sure it would be easier for me to do so, but I'm cheap, and hope to find most of my info on my own. I am most disappointed that I have not run into someone from my 'Pamplin' line online, or any other way. Still hoping. Why do I do this? When I was younger, I was too into the present and future to worry about the past. Now, that I've raised my children, and they are off on their own, I have found an interest in the past. Whatever the reason, I enjoy the thrill when I find a bit of info to add to my tree. So, if there are any Pamplins, or someone who is researching the Pamplin's, I would love to share or compare info with you.
