I have family in the Eganstown cemetery Ellen Darcy was my gg grandmothers Catherines sister , her husband was Michael Foran came over with his cousin John Foran, also buried at Eganstown. I believe the Kennedy's and Darcy's were Cousins. I am taking the family for a tour of the cemetery at the end of the month do you have any infomation about the Borrisoleigh familys? .... thanks, Peter Fontana
Rosey on 2016-08-10 03:50:47Hi Peter, l am away on leave. Home September. No information with me. In the cemetery there are various families from Borrisoleigh and upperchurch. In the borders is a Darcy hill. Another family of Darcys in cemetery. Mary Darcy came out after her son. See Rousch grave left side at end of church. Bridget her daughter married Nicholas Rousch. The Clohesys lived close to this area and the Kennedys over the road.
Rosey on 2016-08-10 03:58:38I am working on a cemetery book and collecting any stories on early settlers. You may be interested in contributing. Do you have Forans death certificate showing they buried in the cemetery. If yes can you send to me so their details can be added to the cemetery records l am also collating burials to eventually put them online with Kevin.
