My name is George Kenneth BENNETT (I go by Ken). I was born July 23 1962 in Channel, NL. My wife is Mona,(Nee BILLARD) b 10 Aug 1961, at Glace Bay, NS. We have a daughter Tina Chantell, b 10 Mar 1990, at Halifax, NS. My Father was George Frederick BENNETT, b 25 Feb 1943 at Petites, NL, d Feb 1995, in Ontario. My Mother is Annie Linda BENNETT (Nee BLAGDON) from Diamond Cove, NL, she resides in Toronto, Ontario. I have two brothers Alvin, b 17 Mar 1964, and Ritchie Scott, b 28 Mar 1968, both reside in Toronto. My Grandfather(Dad's side)was George Chester BENNETT, b 14 Oct 1915 at Petites, NL and d. 21 December 1984. My Grandmother is Hazel BENNETT (Nee BOND), b. 14 April 1925 (she is still living in Porte-Aux-Basques NL). My G Grandparents (Father's side)were were John Henry BENNETT, b. February 1877, d. September 1, 1955 at Petites, NL and his wife was Sarah Ann WELLS from Rose Blanche, NL b. August 1884, d. June 27 1968, at Petites, NL. John Henry's father was Samuel BENNETT from Petites and was married to an Elizabeth (I do not know her maiden name). I do not have too much information on them except for two chidren, my Great Grandfather and a brother named Samuel Jr.( I suspect, but have no proof yet that something happened to Samuel, There is a census that shows Winnifred BENNETT(widow)with a bunch of children). My Great Uncle Samuel, son of John Henry and Sarah Ann, married Kyra MAUGER. My Grandmother's parents were Phillip BOND 1876 - 1971 and Amelia (Nee ???) 1879 - 1958, both from Petites, NL. My Mother's parents were Frederick Ernest BLAGDON and Bertha BLAGDON (Nee COX), both from Diamond Cove, NL. This is as far as I can go right now and would like to hear from some of my relatives or find out some information from anyone else out there, as to filling in the blanks, and tracing my family back to its English roots (I am told possibly the Plymouth, or Dorset area?). Any info on these people would be greatly appreciated, especially on my Great Great Grandfather BENNETT such as, was he born in Petites? or did he come from somewhere else, like Fortune Bay?, England?, or elsewhere?.
