Hi, my name is lea Sansote, I have a DeBarr in my family tree, his name was Pitt DeBarr, he married my great aunt Clara Landers, sister of my maternal great grandfather. Pitt was born in Gratiot co according to the records I have found I believe his parents were James and Mary DeBarr.

Could the "Pitt" that you know actually be "Pete" instead? They sound similar and I have a Wesley Worth (Pete) DeBarr in my information whose parents were James Washington DeBarr and Mary Elizabeth Mays. However, I have this "Pete" having married an Anna Wayts. I have their children as Rae, Floyd, May, French, and Joe DeBarr.

Most all my DeBarrs are from West Virginia, though some may have headed up to Michigan (e.g. Gratiot Co.) to find work during the war years.

this is Charlie AKA robbie DeBarr.
Randy DeBarr has done a pretty in depth research of our family tree.He may have some valuable information for your family tree project.
As it was told to me,somewhere along the line,a man by the name of Lafeyette DeBarr came from france.This you probably know already.
Anyhow,I am back in the oil fields and traveling some and thought I would try to find some of Uncle Geralds children.I think that three of their names were Terry,Dennis and Debbie.
This is all I remember about the children.
Uncle Gerald was in the military when he and his wife died.

my name is Danielle de-Barr and my line of the family dates back to circa 711 from france. according to my father we are descended from duc eduard de Barr who was killed in the battle of agincourt along with two of his sons. his sister jean started the line of Bourbon. My ancestors left france during the edict of nantes circa 1789 or risked being executed. I believe his name was Isreal. They went to England and were known as huegenots. does any body else know this side of the family. Danielle
